How to Clear ABS Codes using the GM Tech2 Scanner

Today I have a test on 2005 GMC to show you how to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes from the ABS system via GM Tech 2. You should use with a 32MB Card which can support your car model before staring.

Here we go!

How to Clear ABS Codes using the GM Tech 2 scanner Video:

Connect GM Tech2 diagnostic tool to vehicle including OBD and DC power first.

Switch ignition on and turn on GM Tech2 scanner.

Main Menu is displayed on the screen and then select F0: Diagnostics

Select vehicle Model Year, 2005 is mine.

Select Vehicle Type, I need select LD truck

Select Product Make. I select GMC Truck

Select Product Line

Select Product Series

Select Chassis in Diagnostics menu to star reading.

Select Traction Control Option

Let’s continue

Select the ABS

Select DTC in ABS menu

Select DTC Information

Select Current Diagnostic Trouble Code

The Diagnostic Trouble Codes will be displayed on screen, NO Diagnostic Trouble Codes will be displayed if the vehicle has no problems.

Return and select Clear DTC Information if you can see codes there.

Select Yes to continue

The DTC’s, Freeze Frame, and Failure Records are being cleared.

Codes have been cleared, so you can select DTC Information again to see if any other problems in your vehicle

And you will see No Diagnostic Trouble Codes if problems have been figured out.

My test has done, as you see the Tech2 for GM is so handy and capable that takes me less than 4 minutes.
